Blog A Life With School
We want to pursue and explore the experience of an embedded BA/MA/PhD student, greatly involved with programs and extra curricular. To do this we are inviting people to blog their life with/at/through school, research and academia.
Similarly, we are looking for current and former students with insight to a certain characteristic experience such as researching abroad, language training abroad, rediscovering the country you grew up in through research, and careers built on the experience of an Asian Studies program.

This year is the 100th anniversary of Hong Kong cinema. Films were shot in the colony by foreign cameramen as early as 1898, but it was a Russian-American, Benjamin Brodsky, who hired theatre director Lian Shaobo to make two comic shorts, RIGHT A WRONG WITH EARTHENWARE DISH (WA PEN SHEN YUAN) and STEALING A ROASTED DUCK (TOU SHAO YA).
About

Built and independently edited by students from different disciplinary backgrounds, the project at its core serves as a resource for the entire Asian studies community. It is at once a news source, a handy reference for community and scholarship information, a platform for sharing readings and discussion, and an opportunity to publish work in various formats.
