The Japan Information Centre (JIC) is pleased to present a series of casual,entertaining and informative events for anyone interested in spending his or her lunchtime learning more about Japan.

Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy DVD screenings that present various faces of Japan in a way that will surely whet your appetite for things Japanese.

1. Japanese Everyday Harmony - Sound (20 min)
Japanese have long displayed sensitivity to sounds from outdoors, whether of nature or human activity. This program shows how Japanese people appreciate and cultivate pleasant
sounds in their environment.

2. Japan: A Flair for Design - Armour (20 min)
Japanese armor is known around the world for its gorgeous, novel designs. Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju examines these designs, vibrant with the individual personality of the warriors, for a samurai aesthetic that still resonates today.
