North Korea Research Group
The North Korea Research Group (NKRG) is a new initiative consisting of undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Toronto that fosters research and education to bring awareness on a variety of aspects of North Korea. The NKRG hopes to meet the growing demand of interest in the region with objective and independent information utilizing the broad resources throughout the university.
The North Korea Research Group (NKRG) is a dynamic, non-profit student organization dedicated to the study of North Korea. The research will entail a multi-disciplinary approach on the situation of North Korea and its people. The Research Group is composed of undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines under the directive of an advisory board of specialists.
The NKRG believes that a dedicated multi-disciplinary study of the situation on North Korea will, through initiatives such as seminars and reports, be able to:
1. Collect and make accessible information regarding the region,
2. Research and study of the region and all parties involved,
3. Disseminate the material to foster mature discussion and debate among academics, students, and the public.
