Association for Asian Studies
"The Association for Asian Studies (AAS)—the largest society of its kind, with approximately 7,000 members worldwide—is a scholarly, non-political, non-profit professional association open to all persons interested in Asia.
It seeks through publications, meetings, and seminars to facilitate contact and an exchange of information among scholars to increase their understanding of East, South, and Southeast Asia. It counts among its members scholars, business people, diplomats, journalists, and interested lay persons.
Canadian Asian Studies Association

Centre for the Study of Korea
"The Centre for the Study of Korea was established in the fall of 2006 with the goal of promoting critical approaches to the research of Korea. The Centre also aims to develop pedagogical materials for teaching about Korea both in the university and to the public. The Centre welcomes participation from members of the university community as well as communities throughout the Greater Toronto Area."

South East Asia Group
"The University of Toronto houses one of the strongest concentration of scholars in North America working on Southeast Asia in the social sciences and the humanities. The Southeast Asia Group is a formal group of scholars working and teaching on Southeast Asia at the University of Toronto. The group’s mandate is to provide a forum to discuss, initiate, plan, and coordinate research, teaching, and other activities relating to Southeast Asia.

North Korea Research Group
The North Korea Research Group (NKRG) is a new initiative consisting of undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Toronto that fosters research and education to bring awareness on a variety of aspects of North Korea. The NKRG hopes to meet the growing demand of interest in the region with objective and independent information utilizing the broad resources throughout the university.
